About Symply

Our story

Built from lived caring experience

Symply was created by Jay Gilbert, founder and CEO of BranchX Limited, after more than two decades of helping care for their mother, who has lived with Parkinson's disease for 23 years.

Why Symply exists

Living alongside a neurological condition — and helping to care for someone who does — reveals how quickly health information becomes fragmented. Medication schedules change. Symptoms come and go. Appointments arrive months apart and last only minutes. In that short window a person is asked to remember weeks of changes, describe what matters, and take in new advice, all at once.

Symply was built to reduce that burden. It gives people and their trusted supporters a calm, accessible way to record, organise and share the information that matters — in their own words, on their own terms.

Founder background

Jay's professional background spans research, technology, accessibility and product development. Symply combines that practical experience with the everyday realities of family caring: what it feels like to try to remember a symptom you noticed three weeks ago, or to prepare for an appointment that will be over in twelve minutes.

What guides us

  • Dignity

People come first. The product speaks to the person, not the condition.

  • Accessibility

Voice-first, large touch targets, screen-reader support and Simple Mode by default.

  • Patient voice

The person's own words are preserved and never silently edited.

  • Privacy

Consent-based sharing, revocable links and clear data controls.

  • Practical support

Fits into short appointments, real medication schedules and everyday life.

  • Honesty

We do not claim to diagnose, monitor emergencies or replace medical care.

What Symply is — and is not

Symply supports communication and organisation between people, their trusted supporters and their clinicians. It helps you record how you feel, track medication events, save voice, video and document evidence, and prepare a structured summary for your next appointment.

Symply does not diagnose, assess disease progression, recommend treatment, provide emergency assistance or replace your clinician. For emergencies, contact your local emergency services.

Clinical advisers and governance

Clinical advisory relationships are being developed. We will name advisers on this page as they are formally appointed. Until then, Symply does not claim clinical validation, certification or endorsement by any healthcare institution.

Symply is a product of BranchX Limited, registered in Ireland.
